Calls Krieger a "man of principle" in announcing endorsement of him over his own party's nominee
(Delmont) Jerry Pallitta, President of the Westmoreland County Democratic Club and a member of Pennsylvania State Democratic Committee has endorsed Representative Tim Krieger for re-election to a second term.
"I'm proud to have the support of Jerry Pallitta," said Representative Tim Krieger. "He's a good man who understands that it is important to have a State Representative who is willing to put the citizens of the 57th District before party politics.
"In the last two years, I have focused my efforts on strengthening Pennsylvania's economy, reforming government, and doing what's right for our district," continued Krieger. To receive the endorsement of a prominent member of the Democratic Party who is willing to overlook partisan politics is very encouraging."
In the endorsement letter, Pallitta called Representative Krieger a "man of principle" and "our voice for common sense in Harrisburg."
Since being elected in 2008, Representative Tim Krieger has been vocal in his opposition to excessive government spending and higher taxes, and has taken the lead in sponsoring legislation to reform Pennsylvania government. Notable among these reforms is legislation that would end the present pension system for Pennsylvania Legislators, and legislation that would both return the General Assembly to its roots as a part-time citizens' legislature and reduce the number of Senators and Representatives.
